I am the founder of Stewart Physical Therapy and hold both a Bachelor of Science in Health Science degree and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University. I have been a physical therapist for over 20 years and have worked in multiple different settings within physical therapy; including inpatient and outpatient neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation, outpatient sports rehabilitation, home health, inpatient and acute care. Since then, I have dedicated myself to enhancing my skills through continuing education coursework which emphasized a comprehensive, holistic approach to treatment through the exclusive use of fascial counterstrain.
My extensive knowledge and manual therapy education has led me to specialize in Fascial Counterstrain as my primary hands-on method to address all physical problems within the body. Fascial counterstrain is a specialized type of osteopathic manual therapy. I am a firm believer in the ever expanding knowledge of healing modalities and am committed to keeping pace with the newest research and professional techniques in my field. I am passionate about helping people live their lives better with less pain.
I opened my own practice in 2018 and started teaching at the Jones Institute as a Teaching Assistant in 2022 to help train others how to understand and use this modality to not only fix the symptoms patients are coming in with, but also to find the root cause of someones problems and correct them.
This is not a complete list of what Fascial Counterstrain can help with.
